    Wildcat Chapter Helps Maintain Plano Heritage

    Wildcat Chapter did several projects for a community historic site, Heritage Farmstead Museum.  Including:

    • Prepping, priming and painting the wrought iron fence that surrounds the property.
    • Building and installing nesting boxes for the two chicken coops.
    • Cleaning the antique farm equipment and the wash shed in which it was contained.
    • Cleaning the ram barn.
    • We purchased signs for the property to be posted on the poles and stanchions we made from PVC and concrete.

    Hill Country Chapter Completes Ultimate Gift

    Hill Country chapter in Austin Texas has completed their UG project. They renovated the Mobile Loaves and Fishes pantry, a complete demo of the walls and old shelves, followed by painting, installing new walls and bringing food items for the new shelves.

    Coppell Chapter Rehabs Elementary

    Coppell Ultimate Gift is complete. They partnered with Loving Communities to transform Rockbrook Elementary School. Loving Communities provides several programs to this elementary school including a Reading Buddies program where older students come over from the high school to help mentor and foster a love of reading. The school's theme is University based, which lets all the children know college is possible and achievable!

    Centenial Chapter Ultimate Gift 2017

    YMSL Centennial in Roswell, GA completed the Ultimate Gift as of 09/23/2017. They had the privilege of serving Fill Ministries which is a self-sustaining, hydroponic farm that provides crops and food for those in poverty in the North Georgia area. YMSL Centennial planted 1500 strawberry plants and Meals by Grace will be able to deliver and nutritiously feed people when harvest comes in spring.

    Vienna, VA, May 8, 2017 –Young Men’s Service League Vienna-Oakton (YMSLVO) celebrates three years of impact through over 6,000 hours of service to assist, serve and support those in need in our community and welcomes 31 Moms and 32 boys in the Class of 2021.

    North Dallas and Dal-Rich Chapters Honored

    The RISD Council of PTAs awarded the North Dallas and Dal-Rich YMSL chapters the Golden Heart award.  This award is presented to individuals and groups that show unprecedented and continuing service that reflects the purposes of PTA and makes a positive change in the lives of students within the RISD Community.  The PTA specifically recognized our chapters' significant and ongoing contribution to the RISD Council of PTAs Book Fair, which raises money for scholarships.

    The YMSL Pacesetter Chapter received the 2016 Outstanding Citizenship Award from the Town of Flower Mound. Way to go moms and sons for your continued dedication and service to your community!  Their efforts were recognized and the award presented at a Town Council meeting.
