    YMSL Prestonwood Ultimate Gift

    On Saturday, November 4, 2017,  YMSL Prestonwood Chapter worked at New Beginnings/ Hopes Door Resale store in Garland, TX.  All sales from the resale store go to benefitse two philanthropies which support battered and abused women and their children. Their goal was to do a complete renovation/ face lift to the store.  They had over 70 moms and sons attend and worked over 225 hours of service from 8-4 on this day.

    Allen Chapter partnered with the Allen Heritage Guild and The Plaid Tag for UG

    Over two weekends in October, the Allen Chapter partnered with the Allen Heritage Guild and The Plaid Tag to complete 530 service hours for Ultimate Gift.  The Allen Heritage Guild is an organization the exists to preserve original structures from Allen's early community. To enhance the village of homes, a church and a school, we were asked to build a chicken coop, outhouse, clothes line and a garden.  The Plaid Tag worked with us to construct mats made of plastic bags to be distributed to the Homeless.

    YMSL Loudoun South Chapter UG Benefits Wounded Soldiers

    YMSL Loudoun South Chapter's Ultimate Gift recipient was the Bull Run Retreat House of the Serving Our Willing Warriors.  The Retreat House provides respite for our nation's wounded soldiers and their families. Over the course of two weekends in October, YMSL Loudoun South Chapter transformed a portion of the retreat house’s property in anticipation for upcoming visitors and their families.  Our chapter donated the materials and labor to complete three big projects: fire pit, treehouse, and serenity garden.  In addition, we donated needed supplies for the house guests.

    Park Cities UG Revitilize Jubilee Park

    On the weekend of October 21-22 the 249 members of the Park Cities chapter of the Young Men's Service League converged on Jubilee Park and Community Center to give back to the community during their "Ultimate Gift" weekend.  Mothers and sons worked side by side redoing the gardens of Jubilee and OM Roberts Elementary School as well as painting picnic tables, stepping stones, and benches working over 440 hours.  Jubilee is located in a "food desert" where access to healthy food is limited.  The gardens of Jubilee and OM Roberts will be used to grow and supply fresh herbs and produce.

    YMSL Rancho Chapter Does UG Playground Makeover

    YMSL Rancho in California completed their first Ultimate Gift Project!  They restored the therapy playground at Family and Children's Services of Silicon Valley which included replacing rail posts and rails, sanding and painting the rail, sanding and painting a retaining wall with bright art, installing a succulant garden, and replacing the lost playground bark.  They were able to donate the bark, playground toys, patio furniture, a patio umbrella and 3 benches.  From Family & Childrens Service of Silicon Valley news blog: "We are profoundly thankful for the time and effort these young
